From scanner-assisted manual sorting to our completely automatic system, Softrol has a garment sortation option for every kind of plant. Choose from our Directed, Hybrid, and Auto Sort systems to meet the needs of your current operation.

Directed Sort

Softrol’s Directed Sort system is an add-on software that can be integrated with your existing plant. This sortation system is the perfect upgrade for small plants that aren’t ready to invest in a completely automated system.

With Directed Sort, employees use hand scanners to check the RFID of each garment. Audio and visual instructions then tell the employee where the garment should be placed.

Directed Sort reduces the organizational effort required from your staff. In turn, this increases operator standards and reduces training times. The scanning system also provides real-time productivity reports that can be used to analyze plant efficiency.

Hybrid Sort

Hybrid Sort combines Directed Sort software with Softrol’s Auto Sort hardware to create a semi-automatic system. Hybrid Sort is recommended for medium-sized plants that sort between 6000 and 12000 garments a day.

Hybrid Sort systems use your existing sortation rails and can be configured for the unique needs of your plant. The same sortation conveyors are used for both primary and final sort; this setup improves general efficiency and can be adapted to any set of rails.

Hybrid Sort is an excellent choice for plants that need to conserve floorspace. Because the system works with your existing sortation rails, you will not be required to expand your facility or give up production areas. Any new rails or integrated Auto Sort hardware will be carefully designed to fit in your current premises.

Auto Sort

Auto Sort is a high-efficiency solution designed for large plants that need to sort as quickly as possible. This fully-automated sort system can route a garment from intake to storage with as little as one or two employee operators.

The Auto Sort system scans individual garment barcodes or RFIDs and makes sortation decisions at high speeds. Garments are then conveyed to a storage area for staging. When primary lots are sorted, the garments are delivered to an induction station for final sorting. Once wearer bundles have been completed, Auto Sort will deliver them to a final storage location until they are requested by the client.

Softrol’s Auto Sort software is extremely accurate and has a nearly 100% RFID read rate. This system can sort 12,000 to 50,000 garments per day and drastically reduce the associated labor costs.

Each sortation system can be easily upgraded to match the growth of your plant. Start with Directed Sort to improve plant efficiency, and use the savings to add automation as your garment volumes increase. Softrol’s Auto Sort system can pay for itself in as little as 2 years after installation.
