Softrol has announced the addition of the Datalogic Matrix 320 image-based code reader camera to its garment sortation systems. The announcement comes following an extensive research and development effort. Using this camera enhances Softrol’s mission of providing quality automated garment sortation, storage, and delivery solutions.
The Datalogic Matrix 320 code reader camera is a state-of-the-art technological advancement in garment sortation. This camera is built with a 2MP sensor with a 1920 × 1080 pixel field. The enhanced widescreen range gives you the view and performance of a 3MP sensor while doubling the resolution of previous models. The Matrix 320 also comes with a 6mm Liquid Lens with electronic focus adjustment, that has a wide viewing angle and extends the range of existing machines. This feature leads to a large reduction in installation time and allows for easy reconfiguration. Combined, the Matrix 320 vastly improves the read range and read speed even for poorly presented or worn barcodes.
Cross-hair optics are built-in to confirm the target site position for garment placement. A lighted signal on the camera confirms each read of a barcode for a visual confirmation during troubleshooting.
In terms of lighting, the Matrix 320 has built-in lights that eliminate the need for external designs. In addition, the LEDs that are used are a “lifetime” design, meaning the individual bulbs are built to last. As a modular unit, the camera easily adapts to match the majority of vertical applications. Fully assembled and functional models are available for use straight out of the box and offer a simple plug-and-play option. For existing Softrol customers, this is a drop-in camera replacement with only a few minor adjustments.
The Datalogic Matrix 320 is one of the most advanced industrial scanners on the market. Softrol is excited to bring this camera to our clients and invite them to contact us to learn more about how this technology can help their business.
