August 1st, 2010 – Mayflower Healthcare Textile Services (Belcamp, MD.), has implemented the Softrol PulseNet Production System (PPS) as the next step in improving their productivity and value for their customers. The PPS will integrate both the real time production floor data and the performance based incentive pay system.
The Mayflower management team was faced with the challenge of how to improve productivity in a highly automated plant? The decision was to utilize technology and information to optimize their investment in automation which already includes tunnel washers and soil / clean slings system. According to Sam Helwig (Plant Manager), he anticipates to realize an 8-10% improvement in labor productivity from the Production Information System.
